Hercules PLC are a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company based in a modern head office in South Cerney, near Cirencester and Swindon. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organised Administrator to join our Payroll team. This role is responsible for supporting accurate and timely payroll processing through extensive data entry, checking and strong customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail when handling large volumes of sensitive information.

A Payroll qualification is available to the right candidate upon completion of probation period.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately enter and maintain payroll data, including employee hours, earnings and deductions
• First point of contact for weekly employee queries received via telephone and email
• Review timesheets discrepancies, missing information and errors
• Reporting on missing timesheets and chasing them with the Operations team
• Liaising with the Operations team to resolve any timesheet queries or errors
• Administrative support including but not limited to incoming post, managing email inboxes and high level of incoming calls.
• Supporting the Payroll Manager with audit requests and queries
• Assisting the Payroll Manager and Payroll Supervisor with any ad-hoc tasks/projects

Required Skills:
• Very strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to confidently speak with a range of people on the phone
• Good Outlook and Excel skills
• Ability to self-motivate but also work as part of a team
No prior payroll experience required
